I know as a parent, I am all the time wondering, “Where does my child get all this energy?” And, I’m sure some of you do the same. But, surprisingly, there are many studies out there that confirm our kid’s aren’t getting enough exercise. However, we can all seem to find time for tv and video games (guilty as charged). According to, pre-school age children should be getting one hour of structured physical activity and one hour of non-structured play. School-age children should be getting one hour or more of physical activity. How are your kids doing?  I knew I wasn’t doing enough as a parent to make sure we were on the right track.

I am already certified to teach Zumba so when I heard about the new ZumbaTomic training for kids, I knew I had to be certified. Kids love to dance. All you have to do is turn on some music and they’re off! To me, this is a great way to start teaching our kids about exercise, by letting them do something they already love!

The ZumbaTomic program will teach kids how to have fun and exercise at the same time! They will learn facts about Latin nations, Latin dances, facts about health and nutrition, play games, and much more! Each week the children will learn a new dance and there will be a parent performance at the end. Don't miss your chance to get your child involved in something great!

The 5-week program is for children ages 4-7. It will begin March 6, 2010 and end on April 3, 2010. Classes are Saturdays at 10:00am.Cost is $35. To register, or if you have any questions, please contact me, Katie Tuttle, at or 740-703-5284.

Class space is limited. Registration ends March 1!
