This was voted down on November 3rd, 2009 with 76.27% of votes going to "NO".

Below is the issue as it will appear on the ballot.  This issue is asking the voters of Chillicothe if they would like an income tax increase to purchase and repair the Carlisle Building.  Please take the time to read the issue and cast your vote below.

An ordinance to provide for an increase in the city income tax levied from 1.6% to 1.7%,
directing that such increase be applied to the purchase, renovation and reconstruction of
certain real property commonly known as the Carlisle Building for use as city offices and
facilities.
The proposed law would:
1. Amend Sections 163.03, 163.08 and 163.16 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of
Chillicothe, Ohio, directing that the city income tax levied increase from 1.6% to 1.7%
and further direct that the increase in funds be applied to the purchase, renovation and
reconstruction of certain real property commonly known as the Carlisle Building for use
as City offices.
2. Said amendment would terminate upon completion and payment in full of the project.
